The Woof Grooming takes all precautions necessary to ensure every animal's safety and comfort while in the care of The Woof Grooming . However, working with animals can be unpredictable and occasional accidents may occur, especially when working with elderly animals, puppies, animals with medical conditions (known or unknown), difficult to handle animals, and severely matted animals. Should any animal, while in the care of The Woof Grooming , become injured or sick for any reason, The Woof Grooming has the right to determine whether or not the animal needs medical attention. In case the owner of the animal is not available or out of reach, the owner of the animal gives permission to the The Woof Grooming staff to make a reasonable decision for the sake of the safety of the animal. Should the animal be transported to the closest emergency vet and treated, all treatment will be determined by the examining doctor at the expense of the owner of the animal. In case of an emergency or sudden sickness of the animal, the owner of the animal gives their permission to the The Woof Grooming staff to take the animal to the closest veterinarian and authorizes medical treatment of the animal.
If the staff of The Woof Grooming finds the fleas or ticks on the animal that is in the care of the Company. The Woof Grooming will treat the animal with flea and shampoo, at the expense of the owner of the animal.
If the staff of The Woof Grooming determines that the animal is matted or severely undercoated, there will be an extra charge applied to the regular service ticket. The cost of the grooming service will be increased depending on the amount of extra work and extra time required to deal with matting or de-shedding, regardless whether the animal will have to be shaved, de-matted or de-shedded.
All animals must be up to date on rabies vaccinations and current copy must be presented to The Woof Grooming prior to any grooming services.
The Woof Grooming may request to collect and keep credit card information on file for incidental purposes. By booking this appointment the owner of the animal authorizes The Woof Grooming to keep the owner's of the animal credit card information on file and charge it in case if the owner of the animal is not available to pay in person by cash or check, or the owner of the animal fails to give prior notice of cancellation or modification of the appointment at least 24 hours in advance.
The appointment that is missed without prior notice at least 24 hours in advance will be charged $25 for each animal scheduled. There will be an additional hard to handle fee for all animals who or bite the groomers, unstable or impaired animals that are hard to handle during grooming. The hard to handle fee will be determined according to the extra time spent on managing difficult animals. The Woof Grooming reserves the right to refuse services if the safety of the groomer or animal is at stake.
The Woof Grooming will not be held responsible for any accidents that might occur during grooming, including, but not limited to, clipper/razor burn, nicks, skin irritation, brush burn and any other accidents that can occur from the normal grooming process.
The Woof Grooming will not be held responsible for any injury or stressful effects that the grooming process may have upon elderly, unstable or difficult animals.
The Woof Grooming will not be held responsible for any pre-existing medical conditions (known or unknown) and health problems revealed or aggravated during the grooming process.
The owner of the animal grants The Woof Grooming. The owner of the animal grants The Woof Grooming permission to take and use pictures and videos of the animals while in the care of The Woof Grooming and the owner of the animals for any purpose without compensation.
Payment can be made by cash, Cashapp, Apple Pay, check, or Zelle transfer. Returned checks will incur a $35 charge.
Booking an appointment means you, the owner, hereby release The Woof Grooming and its employees, agents and any and all affiliates, from any and all liabilities associated with the grooming process and acknowledge that I have read, understood and accept all policies and all releases as stated above.
