Pregnant Dogs
Pregnant dogs are accepted UP TO 3 WEEKS OF PREGNANCY, special handling fee may apply if there is excessive disruptions to the groom. It is understood mama will need extra time and patience ! Grooming may be shortened or adjusted if the mother shows signs of stress or discomfort.
Nursing Dogs
We are not accepting nursing dogs at this time. Nursing places additional physical stress on the mother, and grooming can interfere with milk production, increase the risk of mastitis, and cause unnecessary discomfort. For the well-being of the mother and her puppies, grooming will be declined until nursing has fully ended.
Dogs in Heat
There is an additional sanitation fee for dogs in heat. Dogs in heat require extra preparation, enhanced sanitation measures, and additional cleanup to maintain a hygienic grooming environment. In addition, the scent of a dog in heat can strongly affect intact male dogs. It can cause agitation, anxiety, vocalizing, marking, and sudden behavior changes.
